March 21, 2018
MARIETTA, GA – With Jim Pfeiffer returning to the Atlanta Blaze to be their new President, Thunder Lacrosse brings on a familiar face to help grow the program. Thunder Lacrosse is pleased to announce that Frank Daniels has accepted the leadership role as President of Thunder Lacrosse, LLC, effective immediately.
Reacting to news of Daniels’ appointment, VP of Lacrosse Operations of Thunder Lacrosse and Head Coach of the Atlanta Blaze, Liam Banks, said, “I couldn’t be happier to have Frank join Thunder LB3 on a full-time basis. Frank has extensive experience in program logistics and operations and will ensure that the Thunder LB3 brand remains strong. Frank has always been a driving force for lacrosse in Georgia and will continue to bring his vision and energy to the newly consolidated Thunder LB3. The future is bright for both boys’ and girls’ lacrosse under the Thunder LB3 umbrella.”
Andy Pons, VP of Business Development and Board Member of Thunder Lacrosse, added, “We are super excited to have Frank on board full time. Frank has a long history of serving the local lacrosse community. With the consolidation of the two best lacrosse programs in Atlanta, we have a need for a dedicated operations guy who will strengthen the overall mission of the club to both honor and promote the game of lacrosse.”
Frank is one of the original co-founders of the former 501c3 Thunderlax, Inc., and in that capacity led Thunderlax to a position of national prominence. While Director of Thunderlax, Inc., Daniels was responsible for all aspects of staffing, player development, camps, clinics, tournament scheduling, social media, financial management and strategic planning, including its recent consolidation with LB3 Lacrosse. Prior to his appointment as President of Thunder Lacrosse, Daniels was an entrepreneurial leader in the construction management industry with over 20 years of proven success in commercial programs. A native of suburban Maryland, Daniels grew up playing lacrosse for the Prince George’s County Lacrosse Club and graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park. Daniels began coaching youth lacrosse in 2003 for East Cobb Lacrosse and he helped establish the Pope Junior Greyhound Lacrosse program in 2007, the same year he co-founded Thunderlax. For over 15 years, Daniels has remained very active in Georgia’s lacrosse community as a dynamic leader and highly regarded coach.
Frank Daniels responded, “I am thrilled to lead Thunder LB3 Lacrosse through its next phase of growth and carry out the mission to develop outstanding boys and girls lacrosse players. As the sport of lacrosse continues to expand, I am committed to ensuring that Thunder LB3 Lacrosse evolves and grows so that we can continue to serve our amazing community of players, families, coaches and recruiting partners. Our new 10,000 square foot training facility in Marietta, GA is a prime example of Thunder LB3 Lacrosse’s continued transformation, setting it apart from any other program in the Southeast.”
Please join us in welcoming Frank Daniels as President of Thunder Lacrosse, LLC.
